Fundraising
We conducted a massive fundraising effort the spring of 2004 to procure funding for an advance team of undergraduate and graduate students to set up international exchange programming in Africa. This effort resulted in $10,000 worth of funding for these students. Next, we took on a major fundraising campaign to help fund a number of undergraduate and graduate students who traveled to Singapore & Malaysia as part of our leadership study abroad program. This effort raised nearly half of the total program cost. Subsequent efforts helped fund travel to Europe, Asia, Central America, and the Middle East. Now, we are working on funding for the 2010 leadership study abroad as well as other travel opportunities.
If you wish to contribute a tax deductible donation to LEADER's student travel grant fund, please make out a check to the University of Southern Maine, LEADER travel fund and mail or deliver it to LEADER, c/o Dr. Tara Grey Coste, 51 Westminster St., Lewiston, ME 04240. All donations are tax deductible.
